When I was younger and unsure of what career path to take, I originally followed my father’s lead in the construction field and studied architecture. I attended college in Ontario, Canada where I received an associate degree in Architectural Technology and also completed the Residential Home Inspection Training Program. After 9 years working in the construction and engineering industry, staring at black and white construction drawings all day long, I realized that I needed more color, more texture, and more fun. We lived in Allentown, Pennsylvania for 4 years while my husband completed his Emergency Medicine Residency before making the move to South Carolina. It was then that I decided to follow my dream and enrolled in the Interior Design Program in Charlotte, North Carolina. After 3 and a half years of studying and working as a designer part-time, all while being a stay-at-home mom, I am happy to say that I graduated in December 2020. We moved back to Ontario and I officially launched my full-service design business early 2021.
I have always had an artistic side along with a technical side, and interior design allows me to use both to create spaces that are just as functional as they are beautiful. I believe that my love of travel and living abroad has given me an exclusive approach to design that allows me to incorporate unique items and styles into my clients’ homes.
